Hey there students, today we'll be looking at prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells through a Nearpod activity. Please log in to join.nearpod.com and use the following CODE to join the classroom: ZTPFR.
Cheers and happy Fri-yay!!!! Great job on your experiments! I really enjoyed reading through them and seeing what you did. Being a thoughtful, attentive, and investigative scientist is not an easy job. It takes time and patience. It's time to take your learning and attentiveness to the next level.
We are embarking on our next journey into our long term project investigating the world of cellular biology, virus, and vaccines. We begin our work at the cellular level looking at the form, function, and structure of cells - prokaryotic and eukaryotic. What are cells? What are they made of? What do they do? What do their part do? These questions and a lot more will be investigated through the first part of this project. Cells and understanding them. In your google classroom is an assignment that has many parts. We will work on these parts for the next few weeks investigating everything about cells. You will have access to the document as a resource online and also be given a paper copy to work with, write on, and turn in. Please don't lose the paper copy...it's your evidence of learning and something work a lot. Getting to know about cells is the backbone for this project so get deep, reflective, ask questions, and learn as much about the difference types of cells and their make up as possible. Chur ! It's time to start doing science!!!
For your next assignment you'll be designing and implementing your own experiment. Along with this you'll be required to write it up as a Final Report. In your Google Classroom you'll find docs that go with your next assignment. Please open them up and read through them. We will be going through these docs during Friday's virtual meeting so make sure you attend. You'll have a week to get it done so pace yourself and plan accordingly. Don't go too big with the idea of your experiment. Make it simple and easy to complete. I have several ideas of experiments to share with you that will hopefully spark your imagination. Cheers and check your Google Classroom. Hey there amazing humans,
We are getting into our first assignment...discovering how to tell is something is factual information or fake news. I've posted the assignment onto your Google Classroom so please get on there and read all about it. There are 2 attached google docs and I've made copies for each. We'll cover questions and concern, thoughts and clarification, tomorrow online for our 1st online class. IT IS DUE NEXT WEEK WEDNESDAY SEPT 9. Please fire away tomorrow any questions you have. I don't assign weekend homework yet it's your choice to get after it or not. We'll have in class time Monday and Tuesday as well next week to do the work. It's also expected that you'll be doing homework when needed. Chur |
